Japanese Head Spa Awaken This service is for those who have thinning hair or hair that sheds more than normal and utalizes natural therapeutic products for thinning hair and a healthy scalp. Healthy scalp = healthy hair! Sustainably harvested palm and coconut oil gently cleanse while natural capsicum and menthol stimulates to maximize delivery of nutrients to hair and scalp.

What is Japanese Head Spa?

Japanese Head Spa is a relaxing and rejuvenating hair and scalp treatment that originated in Japan. It involves a combination of massage techniques to promote blood flow and reduce tension in the scalp. During the treatment, special serums and shampoos are used to cleanse and nourish the hair and scalp. The experience is designed to leave you feeling refreshed and revitalized, with healthier, shinier hair. At The Elevated Beauty Lounge, we offer a range of Japanese Head Spa treatments to suit your needs and preferences. Our experienced and caring staff will help you unwind and enjoy a truly indulgent experience.

Should I wash my hair before I come?

The short answer is "No". We will pre-wash your hair before the start of your Head Spa treatment.

Can I have Japanese Head Spa done on the same day as my color service?

We recommend coloring your hair a few days after your head spa service as to not run the risk of fading your new color. The Elevated Beauty Lounge is not responsible for faded color due to the Japanese Head Spa service.

I wear extensions can I book Japanese Head Spa service?

We recommend getting a Japanese Head Spa service between installs. The massage and water flow can tangle extension or weaken the bond. Although exceptions can be made for those wearing weft extensions, a consultation appointment must be booked first before a Japanese Head Spa service can be booked. The Elevated Beauty Lounge is not responsible for any damage to extensions or hair by the Japanese Head Spa service.

What do I wear to my Japanese Head Spa service?

We recommend coming in comfortable clothes. You will be given a spa wrap to change into that exposes your shoulders and neck. Blankets are provided to provide comfort during your treatment. 

Will it mess up my make-up?

During a portion of the service the water halo will be close to your hairline. Some splashes may get on your make-up, a towel will be provided to keep splash's off your face upon request.

My mom and I want to both have a Japanese Head Spa service, can I have someone share my appointment time with me? 

Our Japanese Head Spa room only accommodates one client and one stylist, but we have a cozy waiting area so your mom and you can relax and enjoy a spa day. Children cannot be left unattended.

I have hot pink hair, will it fade my color?

Unfortunately we do not recommend Japanese Head Spa for those with fashion colors or direct dye colors.

Why do I leave with towel dried hair?

The hair and scalp need time to fully absorb the treatment products. If you do not wish to leave with damp hair we do have a free option of sitting under the hood dryer or a blow dry upgrade.

Are guys able to get a Japanese Head Spa?

Yes, Anyone who has a scalp would benefit from this treatment.
